Active energy orchestration.

Designed to manage residential demand-side energy consumption, Gridshare orchestrates appliances to work in synch with each other and with the grid.

What does Gridshare do?

Designed for residential use, Gridshare works with heating and cooling systems to create a warm or cool environment at the right time, in synch with the grid to maximise the use of off-peak energy.

This benefits consumers, energy retailers, and lines companies.

Gridshare Unit and software

How it works

Gridshare combines both hardware (for consumers) and software (for lines companies and energy retailers).

Gridshare uses proprietary hardware designed for a fast setup and minimal ongoing cost. Gridshare uses AI to learn how consumers live and to synchronise the flow of demand with the grid.

For the consumer, it’s easy to use. No wifi? No problem. The adapter simply plugs into an existing heater and you’re done. This can turn older appliances into smart devices. The consumer will also reduce the cost of their energy bills - meaning they’re incentivised for their contribution to reducing peak energy demand.

True orchestration of demand-side energy

Gridshare today and tomorrow

Imagine your EV ‘telling’ your heatpump to turn off so it can charge faster - with no impact on your comfort. Or your neighbours’ hot water is ‘told’ to turn down so that someone four houses along can run their heating - with no impact on your neighbours at all.

While the initial Gridshare product development and trials are designed for space heaters, soon we will release a product that will manage heat pumps.

Then, the software and hardware will evolve to coordinate the four sources of residential energy demand: space heating, EVs, hot water and other appliances, along with energy from the grid or other sources.
